The Big Ones Are Out There !!

Let me tell you the big ones are definately out there. You may be asking exactly what is she talking about. Well let me tell you its all about fishing. Salt water fishing, and I mean surf fishing. My husband and I moved to the gulf coast in 2003 and from that time on I have been hooked .....hook, line and sinker...For real... We were living in a motel on the beach for about a month before we found a house to move into. We were only a few houses down from the beach. We stayed at the beach from the time we got home from work until midnite some nights, just depending on how good those fish were biting. The time of year we moved down was the middle of october so the snow birds were there instead of the spring breakers. The fishing was so good it was unreal. I never dreamed anyone could catch all the fish we caught , alot of them we kept , cleaned and cooked for the next nights supper but all the big ones we drug them in after long battles to not break off or let the hook get somehow dislodged out of the monsters mouth. Our biggest to date is a 42 inch redfish. Now don't get me wrong we have broken off alot with monsters we never got to see but of the ones we finally landed these are the best fighters and are great eating if they are in the regulation size of keepers. The 42 inch ones you can't keep . You just have to get the camera , take the pictures then wade out and send them back out to be caught another night. Oh did I mention they seem to bite alot better at night and when the water is somewhat churning. A little fogginess always makes it better to. This is the first of my blogs on saltwater fishing. I will be writing another one and telling many more ,tips, facts and fishing stories. Keep reading , and most of all keep fishing .
